The Long Lake Area Chamber of Commerce represents a wide variety of commercial enterprises, restaurants, retailers, and lifestyle and professional services based in the west metro area approximately 20 minutes from Minneapolis. We’re proud to include the award-winning Orono School District as a member of our organization.
In addition to offering networking opportunities for members, highlighting new and existing businesses, and advocating for the importance of shopping locally, we also partner with other organizations to present several family-friendly community events throughout the year.

Trick or Trail
Long Lake Area • October 31st • 9am – 1pm
Participants Guidelines:
- Participate between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 31st, 2026 (Come and go as you please).
- Bring your Bingo Card with you to each participating business and have each business stamp or initial their designated spot.
- Collect one trick or trail item per participant at each business, unless the business says otherwise.
- Be respectful of the businesses, employees, other participants, and business property.
- Children should be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.
- Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
- Participants are encouraged to visit as many businesses as possible, the more businesses you visit, the more of your Bingo Card you can complete!
- Bingo Cards must be turned in at the designated location by the listed deadline to qualify for prizes.
- Follow designated Trick-or-Trail Areas. Please use marked entrances, walkways and follow any signs or directions provided by the participating business. Please avoid employee-only areas, loading zones and back entrances.
- Most importantly, have fun, meet some of the people behind our local businesses, and if comfortable, share some photos on social media and tag local businesses. We would love to see all the Halloween fun!
Business Guidelines:
- Be available to participate from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday October 31st, 2026.
- Have someone available to greet trick or treaters during the full event window.
- Provide a small treat, giveaway, or activity for each trick or treater. This could be candy, stickers, small promotional items, coupons, etc.
- Have their designated Bingo Card spot ready. When someone visits, the business will stamp, sticker, initial, or sign their corresponding square.
- Display an event sign at the entrance so families can easily identify participating businesses.
- Make the stop somewhat interactive when possible. Rather than simply handing out candy, businesses could ask a fun question, have kids spin a prize wheel, etc.
- Have enough treats/giveaways available for the anticipated number of participants.
- Help promote the event ahead of time through social media, email, or in their business.
- If you are unable to be available, but want to participate and are willing to donate something that would be greatly appreciated.
